Lightning strikes back

I have already posted an article here dedicated to the practical application of the trendy Lightning technology for sending me micro-donations — small amounts, but frequently, or for using this wonderful tool for other purposes. Some inaccuracies were found in the article, and someday I will get around to fixing them, but today I want to talk about something else.

I was contacted by Anton Kovalenko, who informed me that he has launched a Telegram bot that can do one single thing — cash out your bitcoins into Qiwi rubles. However, it does this flawlessly, in full accordance with the detailed instructions prepared by Anton. I tested the bot myself, and withdrawing bitcoins into fiat took only a few seconds.

And while I’m at it, I recommend checking out his Lightning manual of a more general nature. Perhaps you will be able to understand more from it than I did. The technology is developing very rapidly, but the interfaces are only just beginning to show any hints of possible user-friendliness. We shall see, as one popular Telegram blogger puts it.
