That is why it is so important to promote the abolition of any monopolies in the field of information processing. Leaks from Facebook or government databases are not what is scary. What is scary is if they don’t exist. The ideal is if everyone sees everything anyway, and it is pointless to hide anything.

But in the transition period, when states and other centralized systems still dominate, and the means of working with data and generating deep fakes are already quite developed, excesses are inevitable, which will only spur progress in the industry.
